If you require a sworn translation, for example if you’re going to study in Europe from the UK, this costs from £50 plus VAT. Some countries may ask for a notarized translation which is signed and stamped by a notary public to confirm the identity of the translator and this costs from £90 plus VAT. In other cases, you may be asked for an apostille translation which serves to legalise the translated document in countries which are signatories of the Hague Convention. This type of certification also costs from £90 plus VAT. 

There are several factors which influence the final cost of your academic or diploma transcript translation including: 

• Length of the document 
• Language pair i.e. rare and unusual language combinations cost more as there are fewer specialist linguists who work in these languages
• Formatting e.g. seals or stamps which need to be reproduced can increase the cost
