How to make a power of attorney?

- Fill in the required forms either online or on paper
- Register your lasting power of attorney with the Office of the Public Guardian
The process of registering can take two to three months as long as there are no mistakes on the application. The cost is £82 to register unless you are entitled to an exemption or reduction. If you no longer need your LPA or want to make a new one, you can cancel the original.
