USCIS applications require the following documents to be submitted with form N-400 for all applicants:

• Proof of green card holder’s (permanent resident) status
• Application fee payment

Additionally, the following documents may be required (if applicable):

• Proof of current marital status
• Proof of identity
• Proof of military service

An example might be an applicant filing based on their marriage to a US citizen. In this case, the birth certificate of the spouse who is a US citizen is required.

The ‘certification’ states that the document is a complete and accurate translation of the original version.
