Translate Movies 150+ Languages

The global film industry is growing. Back in 2016, the total revenue of the global industry was $38 billion, and it is expected to hit $50 billion by the end of 2020. China, India, and the United States are the largest movie markets in terms of ticket sales. These three markets are driving the movie industry right now.

With such large markets and increasing revenues, the use of movie translation to access other markets makes a lot of sense. Producing one film can be very expensive and so producing another version for a different market would drive up the costs even further. With the help of our experienced movie translators, you can reach those massive markets without adding substantial costs to your project.

We offer the most effective options to bring your videos to an international audience.

These subtitles are not translated and are primarily intended as an aid for people who are hard of hearing. They are a transcription of the audio with some minor editing to omit any unnecessary words.

We offer word-perfect multilingual voice over services that allow your unique video content to make a lasting impact worldwide. We can guarantee great quality voice over recordings to suit any context.

Closed Captions

Captions are similar to same-language subtitles in that they are intended as an aid for the hard of hearing. Captions, however, include non-dialogue audio for example “(laughs)” or “(wind howls)”.

Script Translation Services

We can save your subtitles into a vast array of file types. For example: (.srt), (.stl), (.scc), (.ass/.ssa), (.xml), (.ttml), (.qt.txt), (.vtt), (.dfxp), (.smi), (.csv), (.sub), (.rt), (.sbv).

Some prefer the use of subtitling as it makes the film more authentic when it is viewed in its original language. Many producers prefer it too because it is more affordable. It has its drawbacks, however.

First, subtitling can slow down the pace of a movie for viewers since they must read what’s going on. Then there is the fact that subtitles can only be placed within a limited space, and sometimes the color of the scene can make reading the text difficult.

Dubbing or voice-overs involve the use of voice actors who will read the translated dialogue and try to match it with what is going on in the movie. This requires talent and experience and is on the same level as actually acting in the movie. For very large markets, dubbing is essential for a movie to be accepted by the mainstream audience.

Dubbing can be costly since it requires hiring actors for the various roles in the movie. It’s also hard to translate everything and then to sync it with the video.

The cost and timeframe of your project will vary based on how long your film is, whether you want dubbing, subtitles, or closed captioning, the language your movie is in and the language of your target audience, the audio quality and more. With so many variables, it’s not possible for us to offer a flat rate for movie translation services.

We do, however, offer fast, accurate quotes. In 60 minutes or less, we can let you know how much your translation will cost and how long it will take.
